Looking back, I got my C-64 in 1982 and didn't even know what a Byte was!
I really wish I'd looked hard for a good mentor.
2 years of Computer Engineering Technology study filled in the gaps nicely.
I graduated in '86 and was working in consumer electronics & computer equipment repair within a year.
I stayed in the computer hardware service sector until retirement in 2019.
