Here is a demonstration of how one might make it look like we can insert any picture into any listview cell. The slight of hand is due to a form that is overlayed exactly onto the listview control. Furthurmore this 'overlay' has a transparent key color that permits click through actions onto the underlying listview control.

This 2nd version goes a bit further in trying to make things "look" good. Demo Listview Pics 2.G32 (261.74 KB) When the vertical and horizontal sliders 'appear', the overlay is resized to fit. Scrolling with mouse click and drag on the scrollbars seems to work ok and the mouse wheel scrolling is also mirrored in the overlay of pictures.
This code is a long way from optimized, but, it shows what one can do if motivated to track down the window messages triggered by the control interactions.

Version 3... + we can now click thru the pictures to select the row/item. + A bit of graphical cleanup/finetuning + less lag when scrolling left/right + sorted the funcs, procs, subs in alphabetic order & grouped them for convenience + removed unnecessary code + created Overlay form in the form designer instead of using OCXOCX. (just to see if it was possble.)
