Mystery: The Case of the Disappearing Form Font Format... I found it curious how the font formatting for a control could change from some font 'A' to the system default font, apparently, 'on it's own'. Solution: Then, I realized that I had been editting the file on another compter, which did not have font 'A' installed! When I saved the program on this "font lacking" computer, the default system font was substituted automatically without my noticing. Elementary, my dear Watson!

In the past I simply copied the required font file to C/Windows/Fonts and it worked. (Added the font file to gfabasic inline files) Then in Windows 8 it was only possible with a dirty trick that works or not. Not sure what happen in Windows 10.

I was surprised that the font specified during the Form Design process 'disappeared' when editing the program on a PC with the missing font. I was expecting GFA to substitute a default font during runtime and leave the specified font information intact. It would have been nice to have had a warning message of: "Missing font: <uninstalled_font>" instead of that feeling of confusion: "Huh?! Where did everbody go?!". The following may be a solution I will use from now on... gb32.proboards.com/thread/455/tip-automatically-add-font-resource
