It seems IrfanView is the 'unsung hero' of the hour!
This demo shows that it is possible to convert SVG image files to JPG format. (Thanks for the info webu!)
I suspect IrfanView can do much more, this is just a specific case when I needed: SVG2JPG.
Obviously, one should be able code a general utility to perform a conversion of various image source files from a specific format to a specific format.
We could even create a GFA-BASIC 32 for Windows '.LG32' library that wraps this functionality and provide image conversion functions like: svg2png(<file>), png2jpg(<file>) and so on.
