This started out as just playing around with stars...
I ended up finding the German intro to the original Star Trek and spent a few hours coming up with the subtitles and synchronizing them to the wav file intro.
For full effect you will need to install the included "Trek" font.
I was able to stitch together some crude animation routines where the stars seem to receed, and the ship flies from left to right then right to left.
I also found it's a fun way to pick up a few more German words.

oh yes.. cool! Some decades ago I converted this game to GFABasic for Atari ST. It was 100% graphically identical and playable like the original. It owns about > 35 levels I guess. To build this now on PC with gb32 and d2d is not that difficultly. I remember a simple trick to prevent transparency.. All the graphics use opaque backgrounds and all Elements fits well. I like to do this at anytime for PC in GB32. The original with original sounds

All levels on Amiga with different sound. But moving sounds are not that nice.

On Unity I like to build a 3D fun fair ghost train with puzzles .. anytime.

Interesting game with learning potential for Chemistry! That Train project seems quite interesting too. Whoohoo!!! That Star Wars ride is insane!
Yup. I like to fiddle around and try new things. Sometimes I like to just let myself go to see where it takes me.

With this version you can draw on the screen... I am just testing if I can create 3D lines, editing will come later. You may notice that the lines are drawn in multiple sub-segments that permits a "fish-eye" projection that accounts for wide angle viewing. This can be usefull to match real camera captures and could be turned off in favour of ortho-linear projection if desired.

By chance, I found an article by Emanuele Bolognesi that adapted a SUPER STAR TREK game in 2020 based on a 1978 Basic game...
The 1978 console version...
Bolognesi's adaptation or "mash-up" of 1978 console combined with 25th Anniversary version

I am almost finished porting this "command line" game to GFA-BASIC 32 for Windows. Obviously, I will try to embelish it with sounds and animation!
I started a few days ago and it's not a project for the faint of heart!
