Hi, I'm GB32 user from the first hour. But as more I use GB32 I'm really impressed more and more as well. Nowadays my programs are really more complex than 10 years ago, because as time goes by now handling and modern UIs and usability are focused a lot. And with GB32 you can handle all this stuff. For sure some online (download/upload files server) stuff in not implemented, but I think it would be possible with the right DLL's containing Net.X libraries. Further the amazing work from Sjouke Hamstra has pushed up GB32 by stability and compatibility with the new Windows operating systems. Thanks to all the people also here in the forum help to keep GB32 alive!
Kind regards,
and 'm hoping for a good and long time for all members! Roger

Hi Roger,
You may be on to something... If you could wave a magic wand, what exactly would GFA have in terms of "download/upload files server"? What wording would you use to tell the world that GFA now has this/these feature(s)?
"Hey everybody! GFA now has the built-in ability to: "do what exactly"?

I means something like www.chilkatsoft.com/ in an easy way.. Watch this.. Example in PureBasic how to: www.example-code.com/purebasic/sftp.aspThis DLL SDK is extremely complex. But has also support for 32bit PureBasic and VB5.0. In this case it should work for GB32 but cost US300$ a year. I have already wrote a FTP client in gb32.. the complexity is the same... none can imaging..
X can you write PHP scrips for web servers? It's not the language that makes a lot work, it's the system and APIs are massive to get where you want. Simply send/get files to a web server via FTP by Gb32 is done already.
But to make it secure means, use SFTP and write a per scrips that checks the incoming file for correctness. The best would be to .Rar a file with a password in GB32, send, and unrar + password on the PHP server.
The thought behind is to create backups, and get backups from the web server. Services like Dropbox are insecure, and doesn't work secure. Dropbox: Think about, during any reason on your HD in the /Dropbox folder file where deleted, then all these files are deleted on the Dropbox server as well.. And on a client PC I muss install Dropbox as well. But NOONE wants that! #me2.
